Analgesia: A Play in One Act

What happens when a patient throws his doctor a curve and doesn't fit into the usual medical paradigms? This thought provoking, poetic play centers around a life-altering encounter between patient and physician and is a must read for those encountering the health care field, as well as anyone coming to terms with the many "bridges" we must cross in our lives.          --Beatrice Lazarus

James Celenza writes: "Analgesia is a melodic mediation on the connections and breakages that are embedded in human interactions, even those that are especially intriguing, such as the intimate practice of healing and health and its irrevocable outcome."
